Dude.
|
| |
Never got to see them live, not my favorite band but still that kinda sucks.
|
| |
what are you questioning?
|
| |
oh no now ill never work up the will to care about anything trent reznor does
|
| |
As if musicians ever keep their promises. Look at Tom Delonge one year ago.
|
| |
It was a North American tour, not US.
|
| |
Now I'll never get to see them live, fml.
|
| |
This must be why my brother drove 28 hours to see them a few weeks ago. He should've invited me, grr.
|
| |
Invited you? Fuck that, you should have forced your way in the car.
|
| |
Didn't know he was going. He tries to stay away from me.
|
| |
wow he left it open and said "he'd probably keep going"
|
| |
i saw them at Bonnaroo over the weekend, that was pretty cool if this is indeed their last show in the US
|
| |
I'm glad I saw them at this tour. They played a bunch of songs I didn't expect, a lot of which are on that list, but some aren't like I Do Not Want This, Heresy, Somewhat Damaged, and The Downward Spiral title track. The only thing I really could have asked for would be more from their newer albums (they only played 3 songs newer than 1999, which isn't a bad thing really but there were a few songs I was hoping for) and We're In This Together cause that song rules, but the show still ruled. The Becoming in particular was great.
|
| |
Also, yeah, their tour manager told me that it was expected to be their last tour ever. Trent has also said that he wants to focus on other things.
|
| |
Can't really blame him. I hope he continues putting out records though - preferably free ones.
|
| |
Saw them once so I'm ok with this.
|
| |
i was talking to Trent last night and he told me basically "NIN is done" pretty much. "Bored of it."
|
| |
yeah you and him went to college together right b ffffl
|
| |
no it's more like bffffffffffffffffffffl
|
| |
Thats old news now. The tours name was called "Wave Goodbye" for the love of Biff. Tell you the truth, saw em earlier in the month with Janes Addiction and they were (dare I say it?) absurdly boring. I LOVE nin, and have for quite some time. Ive seen em two times previous to this show, and both have been wonderful shows. It was cool Trents been pulling out obscure stuff, but he was bored, uninspired, and hes acquired some sort of David Lee Roth kick in his performances. The writings on the wall. This definitely wont be the last tour forever, but the next time will have to be when hes ready for it. Hes gonna pull a Sade and break out every 8 or 9 years.
And BTW, Janes Addiction was incredible that night. I wasnt comparing them or anything like that, but Janes had the audience in Philly in their hands. Anyway, sorry about the long comment.
|
| |
Trent has stated that he wants to take a hiatus from NIN for a little while, so this doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
Who knows whether he'll feel differently in the future or not.
|
| |
I probably would have never gotten an opportunity to see him live anyway. I just hope he keeps making music.
|
| |
I feel a little sorry for Illan Rubin, the guy who joined last year as drummer, I mean he's joined just in time for NIN to stop
This news is so old btw
|
| |
I said that to my band last night bodiesinflight....Poor guy just got in and probably was treated quite well from what he has mentioned. I guess it was better than never getting a chance to do it at all.
|
| |
makes me wanna cry
|
| |
I saw Reznor in his prime so I don't really care about this. New songs were 100% shit.
|
| |
titan please refrain from breaking the news pages
|
| |
it expresses my pain and anguish though
|
| |
It symbolizes his broken heart.
|
| |
it symbolizes his gayness
|
| |
This show was phenomenal.
Couldn't have asked for a better setlist given that I really don't like post-fragile NIN (with the exception of a few songs).
I was really glad that they gave the fragile justice on this tour. The last two times I saw them they only played the frail and the wretched, which made me think that trent hated the album.
It was a very emotional show for the audience and for trent.
Dillinger escape plan came out and broke shit. FTW!

|
| |
Caught them at DTE this past month for their last show in Michigan because I had never seen them before.
Disappointing. He opened for Jane's Addiction, who sucked that night or something. (WTF?)
He played too early (We missed Tom Morello AND the first few NIN songs and we only got there at 7:30)
And no encore.
Sad face.
|
| |
eh, a nice long break'll be good for him, and hopefully he'll return in 15 years and be kickass as an older musician
|
| |
yeah and in the meantime i'll keep spinning The Fragile and Ghosts
|
| |
Yeah, ghosts was really the only thing he's done since the fragile that wowed me.
|
| |
Year Zero mayn, Ghosts was good, but 10 tracks too long
|
| |
its cool to hate NEW nin didn't you know that
|
| |
Year Zero mayn, Ghosts was good, but 10 tracks too long
Year Zero was an albums worth too long.
|
| |
or a well done concept that displayed a few of NIN's best songs ever
|
| |
Psshh, you guys can't down with the funk that is With Teeth?
I saw them twice in the past year, I was really happy. Disappointed I never got to meet them/TR.
|
| |
With Teeth is their worst easily
|
| |
this is old news!
|
| |
Also, yeah, their tour manager told me that it was expected to be their last tour ever. Trent has also said that he wants to focus on other things.
Like what, making stupid Twitter updates?
|
| |
this kinda sucks.
never really got into his music, but best of luck to him
|
| |
With Teeth is their worst easily
Yet still a great album
