New CKY Track Download 2009-04-15 by Phantom | 14 Comments | West Chester, Pennsylvania rock band CKY have made the track "Hellions On" Parade available for free dowload at this location:

The track is taken from the band's upcoming fourth full length Carver City which was produced by guitarist Chad I Ginsburg and will be the follow up to 2005's An Answer Can Be Found
Vocalist/Guitarist Deron Miller has said that Carver City carries a “dark summer vacation vibe,” nostalgic of the band members’ childhood trips to the East Coast beaches.
Ginsburg also offered an insight into the album: 'Carver City' is a town in New Jersey "in CKY's Minds." “The fabled town of Carver City has a history of bad luck and misfortune, all the while giving the impression that it’s a pleasant family getaway. Much like CKY's town of Hellview, Carver City's events are depicted in the songs, with story lines coming from real life events.”

Yeah, I agree. The guitars are good, but nothing they haven't done before and the vocals seem a bit off. Still looking forwad to the album. Will be worth a few spins at least.

This isn't anything new for the band, and the vocals do sound a bit off to me as well, but I actually like this. As far as their music goes, at least CKY is always pretty consistent. They have some neat effects going on, I'm still interested to hear what the album will as a whole will sound like.
