I still probably won't check this out, but I felt like some people might find this useful

black n roll baby
|
| |
I'll play Dark Medieval Times sometime in the next few days as a tribute to how bland this album will be.
|
| |
Tis a good album filled with catchy riffage, far from bland!
|
| |
yeah this is very good, plus it leaked over a month ago
|
| |
album is so sweet
|
| |
lol - album's one of the worst to come out this year
|
| |
Of course, what I meant to say was LAST year.
|
| |
plz explain why because I love it that means it's not bad.
|
| |
Black 'n' roll is a joke, that's why.
|
| |
Indeed, far from bland.
And, why is black n' roll a joke? Because it doesn't masquerade as something more (i.e. true black metal)? Or because it is generally catchy as hell (and twice as molten)?
No really, I'm interested...

Haha, it might be a joke to you, but the bigger joke is that you guys think there is such a thing as "true" black metal...
|
| |
Meh.
My skin feels cold.
|
| |
The most amazing darn thing in all of the universe.

"Catchy" is not the same thing as "good." Christina Aguilera is catchy. Herpes is catchy.
|
| |
Jirre fokkkit.
Have you heard The Wolfpack? Now that is catchy... and good too.
Oh, and herpes is 'contagious' booboo, not a 'catchy' booboo.

is there a specific reason why you don't like the new album?
|
| |
It's trite and meaningless pop that will be forgotten by anyone who actually cares about music in less than a year. It expresses nothing except "WE ROCK." Well, BFD.
|
| |
ignore him Benzum. He is probably just some kvlt black metuhl fan going on and on about how much cradle of filth and dimmu borgir sucks.
although he is right. This album isn't that good.
|
| |
Better question: how is it anything BUT pop? Is it because they play their straightforward verse-chorus structured blues-scale pieces with distorted guitars and raspy vocals, and distorted guitars+raspy vocals=metal? The songs are pop. Try to imagine the same songs being played on a keyboard with a smooth female vocalist and it should become obvious.
|
| |
Should I waste my time. I hated their last album.
|
| |
Oh god, I think I just threw up in my mouth a bit.
