It's still a long way away, but the 2009 Vans Warped Tour is starting to take shape, as dates and venues were announced earlier this month and the first batch of confirmed bands for the tour were announced today. Thrice, Underoath, Bad Religion, Bayside, Saosin, Chiodos, NOFX and Anti-Flag (among others) are all tentatively scheduled to make appearances on the 15th running of the traveling music and extreme sports festival.

Streetlight Manifesto would be the only band I would want to see, kinda like PTH was the only band I would have liked to see this year. so I won't go.

I thought at first it was the same line-up as last year, but it happens to be the same number of band bands as last year, which is all but about 3

ok....the architects?

are they a different band altogether than Architect, and Architects? cos if so, they gotta put a moratorium on anymore bands with that word in their name.

It's pretty much worth it just for Thrice and Underoath alone, especially since main stage acts get 40 minutes now.

Nice. This will be much better than the show last year. There are about the same number of bands I like, but the quality is much better, and there is much less boy band with guitar type stuff like We The Kings and Cobra Starship and all that garbage.

By the way I attend every year because this event is always at the venue I work at.

Lineup is amazing.

Would be even better if brokencyde, jeffree star, and 3OH3 weren't on the list.

Bad Religion alone would be worth it for me, but Thrice? Underoath? NOFX? Less Than Jake? WIN!

Though...I agree whole-heartedly with ant4tbc.

Australia does.
It is called Soundwave Festival, except it doesnt have as many of those terrible bands as what Warped Tour pulls.

i started goin in '03 and have gone every year since, and i'll agree with everyone else that says more and more garbage replaces the better acts each year. '06 was the greatest, protest the hero ripped it up. i wish they were gonna be there this year, i'm not too big on thrice and underoath's newer stuff. but that doesn't mean that we can count them out can we? i mean, more bands get added as time goes by, maybe pth will be one?

Wow, they've really got the entire Hot Topic t-shirt wall going on here. Not a chance in hell I'll be attending. At least this year they had Protest the Hero, The Human Abstract, and All That Remains

Yes.

I'd go for Thrice, Streetlight Manifesto, and Less Than Jake, but that's it really. Maybe The Ataris.
