And the definition of 'idiocy' that I've found says 'utterly senseless or foolish behavior; a stupid or foolish act, statement, etc.' from dictionary.com which is usually quite a reliable source. Lol, we never studied the British Empire in history. Everything I know is from personal research which I did quite a lot of when I was a bit younger. Agreed the British Empire did some wrong things but as a whole it can't be considered cruel. Hitler's 'Empire' (I use the term lightly) was cruel. But going further back in history there have been empires that could be considered cruel, although most of the time it is kind of debatable.
