There are moments where Axl's voice is terrible. But sometimes he has the old Axl vocals, which some people still hate, but I always really liked (i.e. "Welcome to the Jungle"). It doesn't seem right that I'm listening to a legend. It's like touching Hercules' bicep. Let's see if he pumped them up like Spongebob, in that one episode.

Meatplow, if you listen, there's not 1 song that kicks right into some hard rock. They all start slow and have some crazy 1 min intro. Kinda hard to listen to now. Also, alot of songs have an electronic feel......

In a way, but regardless there's a lot of different palettes of sound at work and I was quite surprised as some of the varied arrangements it's completely unfair to say every song starts the same.

This is better than I thought it'd be. But then again if anybody got to spend 17 years and $13 million dollars on making a cd it probably wouldnt be that bad either.

Don;t like GNR, but this isnt too bad an album, its very 'modern' sounding. Sags a bit in the middle. It does have loads of effects and contemporary influences smothered all over it though.

@ Bfhurricane: I don't think you have to buy it, no. You go onto Dr Peppers site and just ask for one, on the day of release, then you get a coupon sent out within 4-6weeks, if i remember correctly.

Well thats Buckethead for ya. I'm interested to hear what a Guns n roses solo that doesn't repeat the same D minor pentatonics over and over and over and over will sound like.

was this album recorded with default garage band tracks

I only got through about a minute of the first two tracks and I must say this sounds like complete garbage. Guns N Roses were good in their time but this just sounds horrible

The end of madagascar would have been a great album closer

it really isnt bad. i like it. its not the epic album i expected. but its certainly not boring, and certainly not nickelback. its diffrent then old GNR, but anyway, nice album, some song sucks, sure, but others like if the world or there was a time and madagascar are good.

This debut album by Axl & Friends isn't too bad tbh.

I think I'm more excited about the new Fall Out Boy album and it will probably be better
