I just hope that LostProphets aren't too adversely affected by this anouncement.

Why is Josh leaving?
|

"I'll take a bit of this band, and maybe a bit of this one..."
|
| |
Pretty wild choice for a replacement.
|
| |
Nice choice. It'll give NIN an energy boost, that's for sure.
|
| |
Why is this band still happening?
|
| |
Because they very recently created some of the best albums to grace the mainstream of music in years.

Nine Inch Nails are in another league compared to the Lostprophets. If Rubin didn't want to quit the Prophets and join NIN he didn't have to, but he chose the BETTER BAND. A chance to be in NIN is legendary...one of the best bands of the 90s and 00s? Duh.

Josh's talents practically went to waste in NIN though sometimes...like sometimes he would shine and others, I could feel he was holding back...probably cause Trent told him to. Nonetheless, he was a powerful contributer to the band and one of my favorite parts about them in recent years.
We'll see what this guy can contribute. I'm slightly skeptical here, but open minded.

^^ Wouldn't say that, he wrote all the beats for The Slip and most of Ghosts, and his work on The Slip was one of the best parts of the record. Freese improvised plenty mid-song when I saw NIN live about a month ago too.

well he's not hard to replace, but to all the NIN haters, fuck off. I saw them live a few days ago and can say with confidence it was the best show I've ever seen. The band is great, it's a pity some of Sputnik are negative about them.

i have to say seeing them on the lights in the sky tour was the best show ive ever seen, right up there with buckethead and CoB
