Far worse albums/bands could have won it.

|
| |
They acually kind of deserve it this year sweet
|
| |
Well I'm a sputnik user and these are bands that other people have heard of, ergo, this is meaningless crap made by meaningless people and you should check out this album by this band I just made up.

cool songs and an improvement, but hardly great
|

Viva La Vida is in my top 10 albums of the year.
They deserve it.

I'm proud to say I did not contribute to them winning this award.
Bland, uninspired poop.

Ringo Starr picked up a Diamond Award on behalf of The Beatles, which recognises artists whom, according to International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, have sold more than 100 million albums.
wtf?!? they had already sold more than a billion albums by the 80's as far as I know.

I can see why the band is the best selling act of the year. The album is not as good as i first thought, but its better than some of the crap they have released before.
|
| |
I agree with Phantom Limb, they produce bland uninspired poop.

I didn't really even like Coldplay and I quite enjoy Viva La Vida...eh...
|
| |
^^^ What he said. "Viva La Vida..." is definitely one of my favorite releases of the year, and perhaps the biggest surprise for me.
|
| |
Coldplay is a rock band?

I was surprised too, until I heard Viva La Vida... Its their best, but I wouldn't call myself a big fan.
