Easy to replace. It's not like they're losing anything that's going to affect their future materail.

ya, drumming isn't integral to NIN. Still, Freese had skills

Yeah his loss here wouldn't be nearly as big as his lose to potential future APC outings.

Thanks to Spat for cleaning up this article for me and letting me keep posting creditThis Message Edited On 10.13.08

Wanna go to soundwave so badly. Can I afford it? Unlikely.

And I would have thought drumming IS important to NIN...thats one of the main elements of them...but whatever. This Message Edited On 10.13.08

Drumming most certainly is important, but a lost drummer is easy to replace since losing a drummer isn't going to affect Reznor's songwriting, as he mostly writes the drum parts himself anyway and gets someone else to record them.
Not a major loss, and leaves us ready for a possible APC reunion, which I'd be VERY happy about...

I liked Freese. This sucks.

Freese was better off doing stuff for The Vandals and A Perfect Circle where he at least had a chance to show off his skill. I can't figure out why people still follow NIN still.

Because NIN are still amazing. Year Zero was probably their 3rd best studio album after The Downward Spiral and The Fragile, not to mention the fact that Ghosts was an experimental triumph.

Yeah, NIN is still pretty much one of my favorite bands, though I can't say Trent has done much to impress me as of late.

Though i'm not particularly fond of NIN, if Freese is just gonna make another "Notorious One Man Orgy," i'm gonna be so mad, haha

Yes, perhaps you're not hearing the same consistently good music from NIN as we are

Yeah last I checked The Slip was pretty great, and they've been pretty consistently good throughout their career.
