Seemingly not content with her 'shocking' singles "Ur So Gay" and "I Kissed A Girl" and her 'shocking' album title One of the Boys, the thrift-store Zooey Deschanel now wants to do something 'shocking' at the MTV Video Music Awards. Now what could that shocking thing possibly be?
Oh, right.
You might remember that nobody was really 'shocked' was Madonna, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera all indulged in the same activity on stage at the VMAs a couple of years ago, but that's not about to stop Perry, who for some demented reason is now head-hunting a potential victim, with Lindsay Lohan her #1 pick.
"Producers are really working hard on it," says that ever-mysterious, ever-present 'source' to E!. "They'd love it to be Lindsay, and they're actually going to ask." Of course, this could all be a publicity stunt designed to increase the expectation of Lohan signing on as a presenter, and just to get people talking about the event in general. But we'd never be so cynical as to believe that, would we?
The MTV VMAs take place on Sept. 7th.
