This isn't that bad actually! The harmonized riffing at like 6 minutes in was pretty cool.

That was uncalled for.

Well, it was better then anything off St. Anger, but it was still bad. Nothing short of unoriginal.

http://tinyurl.com/58svjb - A better quality version.

I like the groovy bass part, it's kind of fun. Song is kind of bland as a whole though, this is far better then I expected though!

I thought it was pretty good, but the vocals sucked.

But it was live, the studio version is bound to be better.

Yeah I was thinking, with a good production it could have some nuance to it, otherwise it came off as a very generic metal band original getting played at the local frog & bucket for the first time idk

That was pretty good if you ask me. I enjoyed the bass leads and Kirk soloing again.

I don't like them, but I won't flame them because I don't like thrash.

But their bassist needs to pick his bass up of the ground

Kirk soloing again was good to hear, I will admit. The bass was really simple and boring at best. Funny thing is, the dual guitar part at 6:00 is the best part of the song and lasts a measly 5 seconds. This Message Edited On 08.10.08

I actually enjoyed this.
But good lord, their songwriting skills sure did go downhill after AJFA.

I thought it was pretty good. It's kind of like a more complex version of the Black Album.

It sounds better than St Anger.

While new-MetallicA still sucks, im relieved and can give respect that they can at least pull their shit together and try to make something better than that diabolical PoS that should have ended their career.

Song was average, at best. It's got a little groove, but pretty boring/uninspired.

It was much better than I had expected. I definitely like the unison part between James and Kirk after the solo.

My biggest complaint is Rob's bass parts (the interludes where there aren't any guitars). I like the actual part, but does anyone else feel like the transition into it is really forced and a bit awkward? ...Maybe it's just me...

SUICIDE I'VE ALREADY DIED!

srsly though, this was pretty bad. I'd actually rather it over The Black Album though.

I still don't know what to expect from the album. That song had some really cool parts, but it felt like it was kinda just jammed together. I liked the sound of the solo, should be good to hear it on the CD.

A step in the right direction, I suppose. I'm struggling to compare this to anything they've done before. Honestly, I think it sounds more like the Load/Re-Load era more than anything. It's certainly not good, but it's better, which is what I was expecting. There were a lot of problems with fluency, but oh well, everything from the solo on was fairly cool. This Message Edited On 08.11.08

when I saw the fan blowing kirk's hair back all I could think of was spinal tap on the simpsons, 'medium setting.'

ah... seriously, that was a little boring.
