Foo Fighters Play Hyde Park

Last night the Foo Fighters played to their largest UK concert ever last night to about 85,000 people. The band played a full 85 minutes and ended the night with unexpected appearances by Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen. The two along with the Foo Fighters played "Tie Your Mother Down" during the encore with Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins singing. The drummer went into a Queen-esque chant to pump the crowd before Roger Taylor played the intro of "We Will Rock You" and then everyone came back onstage to finish "Tie Your Mother Down".

Wanting to remain the ever increasingly joker during the middle of the set Dave said, when announcing the next song they'd play hit song "Best of You", "Fucking Hyde Park, 85,000 people, fucking sold out! Would you like to sing this song with, Dave, your best friend?"

At the end of the concert Dave emotionaly said this to the crowd: "I'd like to thank you for making this the most unbelievable show of our lives. We will always be there for you guys."

The large concert was supported by Motorhead, Queens of the Stone Age, Angels and Airwaves, and Juliette and the Licks.

Sounds like an energetic show, sounded like a blast even though I'm not a huge Foo Fighters fan.

I'm not too surprised Queen came out. They played with the foo's in the vh1 honors thing and dave grohl sang for queen when they got inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame. So i guess there friends.
