Beatles Guru Dies 2008-02-06 by londoncalling457 | 14 Comments | Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, a guru to The Beatles who studied with him in 1968, died Tuesday at his home in the Netherlands. Bob Roth, spokesman for the Transcendental Meditation movement which Maharishi founded, said that he died peacefully and his death appears to be from "natural causes, his age." Although, his date of birth has not been confirmed, Maharishi was thought to be 91.

Someone said some Indian guy who was close to the Beatles died today, and I thought it was Ravi Shankar. I was glad to find out he didn't die, but this is equally sad
