The SOiL guy died? None of my concern, but the song slaps.

Wow that dude sounds exactly like Burton C Bell.

Nice slappin' Tears for Fears chorus

Nice production but I find most modern nu-metal is:
heavy shit
HERE'S THE MELODIC CHORUS, DOESN'T MATTER WHAT CAME BEFORE IT
heavy shit

Exactly. I heard slaughter to prevail or yesteday for the first time and it was exactly this. Drum samples sounded exactly the same as every other metal band for the past 15 years, compressed as fuck. Sounded like it was created on a laptop. Booo

about time

sick song and catchy chorus!
|
| |
He's a fine singer and everything but the older I get, the more I hate the mandatory Fear Factory clean choruses.
Also, lol... fuckin' Dino.
|
| |
This feels like an Instagram ad I would get of some band with 500 followers who really like Fear Factory. Solid 4/10
|
| |
The video is edgy as shit but at least they seem to be having fun. These robot hands are hilarious.
|
| |
I wonder if the robot hands are a passive-aggressive dig at Burton. "My robot hands are cooler than your robot hands bitch!"
|
| |
Fear factory is like a top 10-top 15 band for me cause of demanufacture and obsolete alone (even though I really dig a lot of other albums that aren’t transgression)
Seen Milo live with them like 3 times now so I knew he’d kill this - I DO hope that the rest of the album is more interesting though and this is just a single to show people he can sound like FF (he is the perfect replacement imo) but as is, this is like way too straight forward and there’s not much interesting stuff going on here
Excited as hell to hear a full release though

Dig this! I loved Aggression Continuum and this is along a similar vein. New vocalist sounds good, too. Looking forward to the new album!
|
| |
the band is basically a one-trick pony at this point but still (to my knowledge) different enough from the rest of the scene that I also still enjoy them (transgression aside)
|
| |
Agreed, Transgression sucked

i swear burton bell is secretly recording the vocals, he just doesnt want the attention lol but song actually slaps very much, on a second listen its already catchy af, but i still wish they would diversify their songs, its industrial breakdown + ultra melodic chorus and back again and while this formula works effortlessly for them, I still want to hear some suprises. Love the band so much
|
| |
I too wish they'd go for a catchy melodic chorus but not with the ultra cleans every time...a bit like Slave Labor off Archetype. I'd love some more tracks like that. But, that said, loving this!
|
| |
@sanji999 I wish Burton was secretly writing the lyrics as well.
|
| |
@pourradass
The band is not a one trick pony.
Each album is built in a similar way sure, but they have something like 6 different types of songs on each one.
