Switchfoot to release new LP

2026-03-19 by Nat S. | 9 Comments
Millennial youth group heroes Switchfoot have shared details of their next studio album. Titled Forever Now, the album is due out on June 26 and will be the band's first release of all-original material since 2021's Interrobang.

In a statement posted to social media, the band said: "Making an album is like climbing a mountain — an intentional step forward for the band and the story we are telling. The time between albums gave us space to rebuild our creative energy. And last year, we knew it was finally time to start climbing again."

The album's first single "Wake Up, Mr Crow" is due to be released on March 27. To pre-save the album and its singles, head to https://ffm.to/forevernowsf.

Their recent albums haven't done much for me, but I've seen them 3 times and they're always great

Switchfoot was never my favorite but it's cool that they're still making music. My theory having been a former Millennial youth group attender is that all the youth pastors who liked Switchfoot ended up with a conscience and pretty chill, while all the 'cool' youth pastors who listened to AILD and Demon Hunter ended up Proud Boys.

I think this was technically my first favorite band. I really never listen to them anymore but they have some genuinely great songs. I predict I'll end up listening to a couple minutes of this new release unless it is somehow incredible.

Nothing is Sound is in par with The Beautiful Letdown, shame it didn’t get the mainstream appeal and all subsequent releases seemed to lack the bombastic rock sounds of those records.

Jon’s solo records are fairly great as well.

Nothing is Sound is in par with The Beautiful Letdown, [2] Vice Verses was pretty good too, and Jon's solo stuff is so good. He's such a chill guy
