The post of Tore Engelsen Espedal at the band's Bandcamp, where he describes the new album, makes me cautiously optimistic, since I'm not a big fan of the last 3-4 albums.

On another note, the anti-commercial release date is yet another reason for restrained optimism.

I sure hope they move on from the sound of their last few albums! The synth pop should work for them since Garm's voice is perfect for this, but it doesn't

Their new albums are a bit over-hated but i get why its disappointing they dont explore new or different sounds. Hoping this one turns out to be something special but it is wild they churned this one out so fast.

No one wants to mention how utterly ugly the album cover is? It looks like a corny version of Coil's Musick to Play in the Dark. Apart from that, the new track is pretty good, I can see a whole album with this mood making my spine tingle.

Well we already have Ulver's take on Musick to Play in the Dark in Teachings in Silence.. the cover looks like an obvious callback. I don't mind them coming back to the ambient sounds at all, yeah I'm very hyped.

I like ambient vibe, so I'm a bit curious of their approach of ambient in Neverland's album.
