New Algernon Cadwallader Album

Pennsylvania emo revival icons Algernon Cadwallader have announced the release of their third LP, Trying Not To Have A Thought, due September 12th through Saddle Creek records. The record will be supported with a North American tour in November and December.

This is the band's first new album in 14 years, and their first since reuniting in 2022.

The band shared the news alongside the release of their new single, "Hawk", along with a music video for the song, shared below.

my hs percussion instructor showed me this band and infected all of us involved with the emo math rock gene. was able to see them before they broke up too

This is great news. I remember seeing these guys back-to-back nights opening for Joyce Manor in the summer of 2012, good times. Digging the single.

Sounds good. I never got into them back then for some reason. Dunno why. I probably just didn't hear them enough and got into other bands around that ere instead. Wow 14 years. Sure would love to go back 14 years. Neat to see them come back.
