Starset have low key been cooking recently, hopefully this single continues the trend
|
| |
Yeah I have to admit, the latest singles have me intrigued.
|
| |
for a pop hard rock band, this band actually has been low key cooking [2].
they actually sound half-genuine on most of what they're putting out.
|
| |
Wow that was a real borefest.
|
| |
It is kind of boring, but at least it doesn't have any of the weird growling vocals that some of the other singles have had. I just don't think it suits Dustin's voice very well.
|
| |
Yeah those growls were preeeeetttyyy cringe
|
| |
Yeah I'm a little surprised that this was selected to be a promo single, it's clearly a mid-album "bring the tempo down a bit" track to bridge between bigger/more heavier songs. Not exactly the most thrilling selection for a single.
|
| |
Bad mixing. I feel like in places the vocals are swallowed by instrumentation.
To make things worse, I'm getting - shudder - snatches Imagine Dragons.
|
| |
I don't need to listen to this to know that it's the same shit they've done since Vessels
I mean I did, and I was right.
|
| |
I’d argue they’ve been displaying some growth since from Horizons-onward, but that’s still fair.
|
| |
The only growth they've been displaying is their album lengths
|
| |
Yeah, I’ll happily admit that their insistence on 90 second transitions between nearly every song is getting annoying now.
Not everything has to be a space opera with cyberpunk dystopia overtones.

If you want quality space-prog rock just check out Codec.

I really like this one.
