Seventh Wonder singer departs 2023-06-15 by CaptainDamnitt | 8 Comments | Tommy Karevik, lead singer for progressive metal band Seventh Wonder, has announced his departure from the band via a Facebook post.
"I think it is important to understand when it is best to move on for the sake of your own progress and wellbeing as well as for the people around you. To move on is simply making room for the new things you want in life. That being said, I feel like I have done my part as a singer, writer and coproducer of Seventh Wonder."
Seventh Wonder has announced that they are actively working on a new album while searching for a successor to Tommy.

Damn. Band has been declining for a bit, but still, what a massive loss. Have to imagine he's prioritizing Kamelot now I suppose?
Mercy Falls and Great Escape remain incredible achievements.

It was bound to happen sooner or later, given the long Kamelot tours and the distances he'd have to travel to other band members of SW even off-tour, but it's still quite impressive how long Tommy managed to remain in both bands.

I don't know what SW is without Tommy tbh, he was rapidly becoming their only redeeming factor and was one of the more distinct vocalists n the scene.
