From the band: "First, we've considered both working with our current label, as well as shopping for another to produce The Idyll Opus (7-12), but after weighing the options, it is far too apparent at this stage, working with a label has way too many cons to justify the pros it would afford us. Adjy has always been a bit idiosyncratic... conversely, the majority of labels are juggling a large number of bands, and thus need a sort of 'pipeline' or normal/common practice to plug their bands into. This 'tried and true' methodology has been at utter variance with how we've desired to tell stories and do life. While an amount of push and pull between members of a team is healthy and beneficial, I believe both parties need a clear, shared vision. This is something we've yet to find in a label.
To circumvent this, we are exploring something a bit outside of our usual relationship with the internet. Alchemists throughout the ages have been tasked with discovering the secret of turning lead into gold by all manner of noblemen, kings, queens, and anyone interested in monetarily aiding in their Great Work. While our 'lead' is far from the mundane, physical element traditionally transmuted, our task nonetheless remains the same.
Thus, in like manner and as an experiment, we are going to start both a Patreon and a GoFundMe page."
