R.I.P. Maxi Jazz 2022-12-26 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 7 Comments | Former Faithless MC, Maxi Jazz died in his sleep on December 23. He was only 65 years old. No cause of his death was announced as of yet. The two remaining Faithless members left a statement on their social media pages:
"We are heartbroken to say Maxi Jazz died last night. He was a man who changed our lives in so many ways. He gave proper meaning and message to our music.
He was also a lovely human being with time for everyone and a wisdom that was both profound and accessible. It was an honour and, of course, a true pleasure to work with him.
He was a brilliant lyricist, a DJ, a Buddhist , a magnificent stage presence, car lover, endless talker, beautiful person, moral compass and genius.

Maxi Jazz was Faithless' founder and front man from 1995 to 2011 and 2015-2016. After calling it a day with the electronic outfit, he formed the funk/rock group Maxi Jazz & The E-Type Boys.
