Welcome to Planet Zero.

Liking this, think I'm definitely gonna enjoy this album more than the last two.
|
| |
not bad, still typical Alter Bridge but it's good typical Alter Bridge
|
| |
Really liked Pawns & Kings, this one's not too bad. Better than anything from Walk The Sky anyways, just a little bit generic and doesn't quite reach the heights of their earlier material. Opening riffs kick ass though!

Hopes are High for this one.
Sounds Awesome.

Basically on par with walk the sky. This album is likely gonna end up a 2.5-3 for me.
|
| |
Still pretty average but better than the first single. I just find myles voice to be annoying at this point. He kinda sounds like a bird lol
|
| |
Much preferred the previous single. Both are good though. Not blowing my mind, but enjoyable enough. I agree about Myles Kennedy’s vocals. They usually just end up kind of grating to me. I preferred him in earlier albums. I dunno if it’s just the ranges/pitches he’s typically sticking to these days or the vocal melodies he writes, or what. Blackbird and AB3 are where it’s at.

| |
I definitely tend to prefer Tremonti's vocals over Kennedy's lately. I'm sure I'll enjoy this album though, per the usual
|

Was it really that important to show the girl's white panties?
|
| |
Myles Kennedy should join Twelve Foot Ninja
|
| |
I like this way more than the first single. Darker fortress vibes here.
Still, nothing new here. Tremonti and AB are more or less the same band now.

"Tremonti and AB are more or less the same band now"
Couldn't agree more, and I think that's why I haven't thoroughly enjoyed an album from them since Fortress. Myles sounds like he's bored, and is lacking the range of dynamics that he used to show off all the time in their earlier work. Now it's just about being heavy.
|
| |
The two new songs have the Fortress vibe but the writing and ideas feel so much more tired.
Bleed it Dry, Lover, The Uninvited, Cry of Achilles, Waters Rising... These songs felt special. This is just heavy Tremonti stuff with an even more nasally Myles Kennedy on top.

I don't think this chorus vocal melody could sound any more generic. And of course, all the youtube comments sound like this is the best song ever written...
|
| |
I actively dislike the chorus actually which is pretty rare for me. I understood the hype for the first single but not for this.
|
| |
Can't be bothered at this point, these guys had a couple stellar albums but nothing since Fortress has been interesting.
