"New" Mudvayne Album 2007-09-26 by Jom | 19 Comments | In a message sent to fans, Mudvayne announced that they will be releasing a new album, entitled By the People, For the People on November 27th, 2007.
Too bad there's not going to be any new material.
Instead, the album, which "will be entirely fan-generated," will be comprised of tracks from The Beginning of All Things to End (sidenote: the re-release of Kill, I Oughta) to Lost & Found. This also includes tracks from their live DVD All Access to All Things.
Fans are asked to submit their "Mudwurk" (poetry, stories, artwork, etc.) to mudwurk(at)mudvayne.com to be a part of the packaging, liner notes, and so forth of the album.
Furthermore, fans are asked to pick what songs are going to be on what is going to amount to be a "Greatest Hits" or compilation album through Sodahead:

To further make Mudvayne fans agonize over not having new material to hear, vocalist Chad Gray announced that HELLYEAH will be touring through the fall.

Maybe the bassist and drummer should just start a band without the other 2. Chad's vocals are pretty lame, and the guitarist never did anything interesting.

Hellyeah is terrible and Mudvayne's guitarist is nothing special but the bassist and the drummer are fairly good, i'd hate to see them fall off the radar when they could be in a much better band.
