I'll be checking this out with tempered expectations.
|
| |
Song sounds good to me
|
| |
sounds better than whatever tf that last album was, still rly miss the dreamy vibes tho
|
| |
Sounds pretty good to meee, the chorus melody I'm iffy on, it may grow on me. Getting a bit of Harvest Wombs vibes from this song but less relentless (and goes without saying, so much better than Undying Light, anything is better than that).
|
| |
Sucks. Pass.
|
| |
did you like Flesh Prevails Azog?
|
| |
I feel like they may have solved their vocalist problem if they keep with the TFP sound they did on this track.
|
| |
Big improvement, still not touching their best but after the dogshit they put out last time this is quite nice to hear.
|
| |
Gonna be shite, just like everything they released after Nomadic
|
| |
horrible take Pika, but I expect no less from you
|
| |
It will be better than the last album, for sure
|
| |
TFP and Dreamless both slap hard. Pika be crazy.
|
| |
Never checked Undying Light but I'll probably peep this when it comes out on uhhh let's see
September 9th
*checks today's date*
lmao
|
| |
I'll never get why some people who praise Nomadic shit on TFP. Song's pretty good but nowhere near their best.
|
| |
Those drums sounds fucking terrible
|
| |
Better track than I expected!
|
| |
"Never checked Undying Light"
Consider yourself FUCKING LUCKY, JESUS. That album was an absolute train wreck, I wish I could unhear it.
|
| |
"Song's pretty good but nowhere near their best."
Farcry from say... Carved From Stone or Sapphire for sure.
"Those drums sounds fucking terrible"
yeah I found that too, unfortunate.
|
| |
good bass
|
| |
Yea I heard Undying Light was shit so never peeped
|
| |
"good bass"
The legend Evan Brewer on bass, his solo albums are nuts, crazy intricate bass parts on them.
|
| |
"September 9th"
Oh jesus I missed that bit. Fucking absurd man.
|
| |
Just looking him up now tundra :3
|
| |
this aight, better than that trash on their last album at least
|
| |
It seems like all these albums are announced ways away due to vinyl production being delayed?
|
| |
Really liking this track, sounds like a mashup of all the best stuff from Dreamless, TFP, and THW. Love that solo and the production is solid.
I get why people hate on Undying Light, it sucks for a Fallujah album (doesn't even sound like them). But I actually enjoyed it pretty well once I realized that it's actually an atmospheric metalcore album, not techdeath.
|
| |
"September 9th
Oh jesus I missed that bit. Fucking absurd man."
Some labels are banking on dropping the announcement, and first single, several months in advance. I'm not sure that's a wise decision. It takes away the impact of the single, announcement, and release.
|
| |
"did you like Flesh Prevails Azog?"
Not really. I remember it being not quite as good as their debut, which wasn't that good to begin with, but at least it was bearable. But then they collectively decided to shove eggplants up their asses, and dedicate their lives to sucking moose dicks, or whatever the fuck it is they're doing these days.
|
| |
The Harvest Wombs will always be one of my favorite dm albums and is where my name derives from.
New album cover has immense Magic the Gathering vibes.
|
| |
Azog what tf was this sentence?
|
| |
Man these press release quotes are so tedious to read I'm just never gonna do it anymore. It's always always always the same shit said to describe the process and the "new elements" and "return to form" or whatnot.
|
| |
I'll tell you what is a legit return to form tho, that album art
|
| |
I vaugely liked dreamless is this nice and dreamy/spacey
|
| |
Never mind this is lame
|
| |
Oh hey, Even Brewer is playing in bands again. Cool
|
| |
Holy crap I didn't know they got a new bassist and vocalist after losing their....vocalist and guitarist. Sounds a lot like Fallujah though and I couldn't say that about their last album.
You know what, I've never been so wrong about writing a band off before. Huge fan until the last album but this is close to a 180 back in the right direction. Hopefully the rest of the album hits those TFP and Dreamless soundscapes, if even a hint of it.
|
| |
This wasn't bad! Decent but I really wish the production was better, and not huge on the new vocalist
|
| |
Pretty underwhelmed tbh.
|
| |
Got even better after a few more listens. 4 minutes that feel like 2. I like the chorus and the vibe a lot. Huge return to form imho.
|
| |
nice chorus, decent single.
|
| |
this is pretty cool, indeed feels like a mashup of all their last material
|
| |
seems gnice
i hate the album and song titles, maybe its just me, seems like it's all deliberately uncommunicative
|
| |
I have modest hopes for this.
Tbh Undying Light had flashes of greatness still but I know ultimately since their old vocalist greatly influenced the bands direction and did all the atmospheric dreamy bits, they -probably- aren't going to reclaim their old heights. Still hope this shit slaps and maybe it will!
|
| |
Song's great, y'all haters
|
| |
Their old guitarist and vocalist were the nicest dudes. I was sad to see them leave.
TFP and Dreamless were great, this seems like it might be good but I'll not hold my breath.
|
| |
Vocalist is very mid range. In comparison their first vocalist was very low range, and second very high range. Not sure if I'm loving this new vocalist so far, more so I think he does the job well but not spectacularly so.
|
| |
Hasn't Scott Carstairs always been the main lead guitarist? The only other original guitarist was on Harvest Wombs and Nomadic. For the most part their soundscape has been consistent from HW to Dreamless. Unless we're talking about the second guitarist on TFP and Dreamless that also left?
|
| |
This is actually pretty decent. Wasn't expecting much before listening, might check out the album when it drops. Tbh The Flesh Prevails is a little overrated imo, but its follow-ups were definitely a lot worse.
|
| |
Heard the opening guitar riff, then a little atmosphere and it kinda sounded like a return to form for Fallujah...but then BAM they clean-vocal-raped my ear holes. No thanks.
|
| |
Def a return to form, not crazy about the new singer but actually like his cleans. I really like this return to form with the melodic guitars and slowing down. This is such a step up compared to that completely shit last album. I just want more songs like the ones on Nomadic, those 2 songs were flawless! Pretty good though, lets hope this isnt the best song on the album and just a taste or what is to come. Love the use of the female vocals also.
|
| |
Solid. Doesn't hit like TFP or Nomadic for me. Still good, though.
|
| |
this track actually rips
|
| |
New single, Embraced Oblivion, was released today. My ears much prefer this to the earlier single. Much more excited for the new album now.
