Idiot Impales Self For Hinder

2007-09-14 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 31 Comments
We've all heard 'Get Stoned,' and we've all wanted to impale ourselves, but one Bad Boys of Rock fan went one step further, accidentally impaling himself on a fence spike at the York County Fair in Pennsylvania while trying to sneak into a Hinder concert on Wednesay.

Firefighters and medics were called when the man, who had a ticket for the concert featuring Hinder, Buckcherry and Papa Roach but was hoping to dodge the fair's $5 entrance fee, fell while climbing the fence outside the venue, plunging an eight-inch spike directly through his thigh. The man's friends had successfully navigated the fence at this point.

The man, whose name has not been released, was forced to hold himself upright on the spike for 45 minutes, periodically drifting out of consciousness, before firefighters managed to snap the area of the fence off. He underwent emergency surgery and remained at West Manchester hospital as of Thursday.

No police charges were filed against the man. The RIAA could not be reached for comment.

Ahh that sucks. I impaled myself with a tree branch going into my thigh, ironically enough.

Hinder, Buckcherry and Papa Roach

It's a shame that he missed such an all-star lineup.

LMFAO, only 5 dollars entry fee, plus that shitty lineup (well BC is ok), wow. I almost want to feel bad for him but I just can't seem to do it.

5 dollar entry fee? That's insane for bands of that fame, I had to pay 35 dollars to see Stone Sour and the other acts were all tiny. What a loser. I do feel bad for him, but really, if he really wanted to see those awful bands, couldn't he have paid 5 dollars?

All that over 5 bucks? you're right, that is cheap. Thats really lame the police filed charges against him, you'd think the spike would be punishment enough.

After reading the headline I was certain this could not be objective journalism, but I think the story goes on to prove the headline beyond a reasonable doubt.

Now if this was an Impaled Nazarene show, and he was Jewish, this would have been wickedly ironic.
