Rockenfield Sues Queensryche 2021-10-16 by Fernando Alves STAFF | 17 Comments | According to Blabbermouth, Queensrÿche's founder drummer Scott Rockenfield has sued original bandmates Eddie Jackson and Michael Wilton, alleging wrongful discharge, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty. In the complaint Scott alleges that he took paternal leave of absence from the band after his fiancée had to have an emergency Cesarean delivery due to complications during the birth of their son. Something that according to Rockenfield was approved by Queensrÿche members. In this sense, the drummer was supposed to keep an equal one-third interest in all Queensrÿche companies: Tri-Ryche Corporation, Melodisc LTD., Queensryche Merchandising, Inc., EMS Music, LLC and Queensryche Holdings, LLC.
According to Rockenfield's complaint, for the past five years Wilton and Jackson "have wrongfully withheld from Rockenfield all sources of income from the QR Companies in violation of the various Operating Agreements and Contracts governing the QR Companies for no lawful purpose." Additionally, they "have failed to provide Rockenfield with an accounting of the books, records, business and contracts of the QR Companies."
Scott Rockenfield also claims s that Jackson and Wilton didn't want him to participate in the band's latest album, The Verdict, despite Scott's willingness to be involved.

Unfortunately the band has become a real mess. As a die-hard fan of Ryche's classic era, this is something that kinda saddens me.
| | | The mess with this band just never fucking ends.
| | | yeah this is just fucking depressing
| | | No more, I just can't live here
No more, I can't take it, can't take it
No more, what do we stand for
When we all live in fear
| | | God fucking damn it Scott
| | | They’re a mess? I’m out of the loop would someone mind explaining?
| | | They’re a mess? I’m out of the loop would someone mind explaining?
| | | There’s only two original members and they already got sued by Geoff over the fucking band name.
I’m starting to think DeGarmo knew exactly when to jump ship.
| | | Oh that stuff with Geoff still? I thought it was something more recent
| | | Fiduciary? More like fi-douche-iary,
| | | It is more recent. The name was settled. Now Rockenfield remained on paternity leave for a few years and apparently they tried to cut him out financially. That's mindnumbing, didn't they survive the Geoff monarchy together since the 00s? And now they pull this off, smh. Weird to even think about.
(serious comment cuz why not)
| | | Queensryche have been dethroned it seems.
| | | brokencyde sues queensryche
| | | They all died to me in 1994.
| | | well, Queensryche is dead since DeGarmo left. and Promise Land was their last Masterpiece.
| | | band seems like real assholes to be honest, and apparently geoff was an asshole even in the 80's when mindcrime was coming out, according to other artists who were around him at the time and toured with him
