Do you guys not know that early Napalm Death had a pretty huge post-punk influence?? This is actually really fucking cool.

Yeah there is a big post-punk vibe going on here, industrial influences too.

Just more surprised than anything cos I've never heard a song like this from them.

I actually enjoyed this. But its not what I listen to Napalm Death for.

They already sort of sounded like this on their Hatred Surge EP from '85. They were really this post-punk influenced, heavy hardcore before they evolved into grind. You could tell they were into Joy Division. I'm both surprised and not surprised that people don't know that about them. I don't think it's a sound that a lot of pure metal heads would love. I'm pretty into it, though.

I think it's more the fact that every album since like 2004 hasn't really strayed from their modern deathgrind formula.

I think I like it. But yeah it almost sounds like a hard rock track at times. Odd.

I can see the post-punk in this, but it sounds more alt-metal to me. I think this track will have to grow on me.

I'm super into it. I almost see it as more of a return to their roots. I'm wondering what the heavy tracks are gonna sound like though. Easy Meat was pretty insane. And I hope the transition into this track doesn't feel too jarring.

I honestly thought this was pretty cool. I dig the vibe and that main riff is simple, yet so earwormy in the best way.

I really dig this a lot. Just actually wish there was a bit more to it and was a bit longer. Needs a bridge or something. It's just verse, chorus, verse, chorus then it just ends.

The album is a curve ball for the band. I hear a lot of classic Voivod infuence, some Anaal Nathrakh, and even some 90s-style Cop Shoot Cop and Fudge Tunnel mixed in with their modern sound. It's pretty cool.

Idk why but I think I'll wait til it comes out. I guess there's already too much music to listen to right now for me to worry about stuff that's not supposed to be out yet.
