Damn that's some turnaround time, maybe they had a boatload of material on ice ready and waiting. Interesting.

First record was pretty good.

this band really missed the mark for me with an oblivion above. I know i'm largely alone here but it just sounded like generic post rock with boring blast beats, and zero substance to make it stand out in a supersaturated scene of similar sounding bands.. that being said I'll give this a spin and reevaluate.

yep, okay same thing here. Last 28 seconds where the drums actually change was the best part.

Nah, An Oblivion Above is one of the best metal albums of its kind released last year

I know y'all dig it and I'm glad you find enjoyment in it. I'm not anti-blackgaze, I really dig Alcest, WoD, Heretoir stuff like that, but then there's the other half of stuff like Ghost Bath, Unreqvited, and this, where i just feel like ¯_(ツ)_/¯

i don't love their last album but the more chill style of this song gives hella screamgaze vibes and i'm interested to hear where the rest of the album goes with it.

So am I the only one that thinks this sounds a bit subpar?

i don't love it, but it's an ok chill blackened screamo/post-hardcore(?) track. It's got screams and atmosphere but isn't abrasive so it's nice.

I see the drums still sound like arse and are probably programmed. Can't get into these guys for that reason.
