love this band. shame to see em go but no better reason than "continuing to sing could literally kill me"

Yeah, I’m gutted as they are genuinely one of my favourite bands to the extent that I named my band after a song from their last album. However, the reasoning is 100% valid, even if it takes the piss that yet another one of my favourite bands splits up while mediocre bands like Nickelback and Scouting for Girls continue to release music.

Their guitarist Danny is in a band called Antiguo that meld Melodic Hardcore with Post Punk. I definitely recommend checking them out

If you're into melodic hardcore these guys are top tier. Definitely check em out.

this is the saddest fucking news ever i hope his health can improve and be able to do the shows at least without trouble. at least they left behind one of the most impressive discographies of any modern underground emo band around so i'm not too upset

I saw this coming after I saw footage from a recent show they played. He seemed very reluctant to scream.

Yeah, they went pretty quiet after that show, but of course, that's due to his diagnosis.

Fucking tragic. Imagine having to quit something you love because it could kill you. RIP, i loved this band.

^ This, the most tragic thing is that it seems like the band would happily continue if this wasn't the case. Even more tragic than the fact that they're splitting up while Nickelback, Falling in Reverse, Scouting for Girls, Brokencyde, and 30 Seconds to Mars are still active.

anybody else been jamming "Death Touches Us,,," much recently? i feel like it was such an overlooked record, and deserves tenfold of the fans bc it is easily their most cohesive album imho

Sad news. Again one melodic hardcore band less. They were one of my favourites.

Death Touches Us definitely deserved more attention, possibly one of my favourite albums of the decade (although I’m always flip flopping between that and Teenage Haze). It’s unfortunate that it came out at a time when the Rock Press (I.e. Kerrang! and Rock Sound) were trying to push 5 Seconds of Summer as a Rock Band and the underground scene wasn’t getting as much attention as it has been in the past couple of years.

The first two are my favorites but i like Death a lot too.

Death Touches Us is super underrated. Memorial makes me cry occasionally, It's just so sad.

When Losing Everything is such a damn good album, jammed it a few days ago and it still slaps

Emotive melodic hardcore vocalist has to quit because his literal heart can't take the strain of tour life. This is some Shakespeare plot kinda shit.

Definitely a bummer. These guys released some really incredible stuff.
