Van Halen: "We are a new band"

2007-08-15 by The Sludge | 11 Comments
The very long awaited reunion of iconic rock band Van Halen is here. It was announced at an official press conference that the original line-up, excluding bassist Michael Anthony, will begin a 25 city reunion tour along with Eddie Van Halen's son, Wolfgang Van Halen on bass and backing vocals.

The band even states that after their tour is rapped up, they will begin writing new material in 2008.

The tour will kick off on September 28th in Charlotte, North Carolina and extends through December 11th in Calgary, Canada along with plans to take it over seas.

This isn't news. I found out several days ago.

But no one reported it. So it's news to the site.

Has anyone heard David Lee Roth sing lately? I can't imagine he sounds as good as he did.

I don't know - I'm still discovering places in the roof of my mouth that I've never seen before.

Why does it seem like every one and their sister with a band is having a bloody reunion?

Michael's harmonies will be seriously missed. However I wish them well. I love Eddie's Playing and hope he performs for many years to come.
