Have a Nice (Lo-Fi) Life

2019-09-17 by Daisy99 | 28 Comments
Have a Nice Life continue teasing their upcoming record Sea of Worry with the new single "Lords of Tresserhorn". The track has the signature lo-fi sound similar to their 2008 classic, Deathconsciousness.

"Lord of Tresserhorn" was originally supposed to be released in 2015, when Sea of Worry was still an EP (which never got released).

Listen to the track or order the album below.

I had to listen to something else to make sure my headphones weren't broken after this. This sounds absolutely horrible and not in a good way, HANL's previous albums are definitely lo-fi but this literally just sounds a busted speaker from 3:12 onward.

whoever edited my article id promise i couldnt fit this in when i tried haha

honestly i dont mind that however im worried about consistency since the title track released before that had such a clean production.

Yeah, latter half of the song is a bit too noisy.

Loved the first half though.

I would recommend a Boss NS-2 after any boost/OD and then using Klevgrand Brusfri in post.

i think the wall of noise production in the latter half is fine, the melodies shine through it well enough to give it movement

I can see the complaints, but I like the noisy second half. I think comparing it to their debut is a bit ambitious and sets it up for let down expectations. But overall, solid track. Excited for the album.

Lol at the great gear advice from Josh D. and bloc. Maybe a Fortiin Zuul if they're so inclined?

HANL fans complaining about their songs being noisy is really odd.

The first single had me worried that they were toning down their sound and going in more of a post punk direction. Guess not! This owns.
