Radiohead returns

2006-05-02 by Zandt | 20 Comments
According to FMQB:
After weeks of speculation, RADIOHEAD has officially announced the details of their month-long North American tour. Playing their smallest shows on this side of the pond in years, the Brit band will focus on theater-size venues throughout June. As expected, Radiohead will use the tour to test out new material they've been working on in the studio for their next album. However, the tour announcement unfortunately reveals that "There are no plans for a Radiohead album release any time in 2006."
The majority of the shows go on sale this weekend. Radiohead will launch a similar tour in Europe beginning this Saturday, May 6 in Denmark. They will also play a handful of festivals overseas in August. Last week, Radiohead posted a number of pictures from their tour rehearsal on the band's blog.

I knew it wouldn't be released this year, how long have they been working on this for since like late 2004? Well it better be amazing. Theater-size venues are gonna sell out in like 2 minutes.

I can't wait for the new album. Arpeggi's supposedly a beast, like Street Spirit, but only with modern Radiohead. One can only think of the concotion.

Boston Pavilion sold out in less than one minute. I didn't win the Radiohead Lottery, might as well search around for not-too-overpriced tickets on the Internet, and keep checking back with Ticketmaster to see if last-minutes are being released. It's how I saw Sigur Ros in February, I snagged a pair the day before the show, I'm hoping I could pull it off here as well.
