US thrash metal veterans Sacred Reich have re-signed with american record label Metal Blade Records. In addition, they are preparing their upcoming album which is going to be their sixth overall and the first one since 1996's Heal.

Sacred Reich vocalist and bassist Phil Rind comments:
"We are very happy to announce that Sacred Reich have signed with Metal Blade Records and we are writing songs for a new album. Our plan is to go into the studio this summer and have a new record out early next year. We are super excited and can't wait to share some new music with you!"

Seems kinda pointless, considering they're waaaay past their prime. Their best album, The American Way, came out way back 1990 for fuck's sake. And it's aight, not amazing or anything.

I doubt this will turn out great, but I'd be satisfied with a good, solid album from them.

solid band but i get the feeling if any classic thrash group would come back with a bad album it would be these guys. they're like the less boring Massacre of thrash

Curious to hear what they will come up with, as I even liked Heal and the live album back in the day.

Imho, Independent is the only mediocre release from these guys.
