Guns N Roses to play NY 2006-04-20 by Zandt | 10 Comments | According to a press release from Live Nation, Guns N' Roses will be performing a pair of concerts at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NY.
The shows, scheduled for May 15th & 17th, Monday and Wednesday respectively, were announced on the Fourteenth and people who are registered on the Live Nation mailing list for the band managed to get two presale ticket dates. (Today and early tomorrow morning) The actual tickets go on sale tomorrow at 11am and cost $63 dollars.
The doors open at 7:30
This encourages hype surrounding the possible move forward on a release for their Chinese Democracy CD. The concerts are the only dates the band has as far as playing locally. They are about to embark on an international tour jumping from festival to festival.
Hopefully Axl will speak more about the album at the concerts, or at least shed light on where the band is heading.News Edited On 04.20.06

Well, the thing is they are in Velvet Revolver now..so I'd say no. However..there were two other articles this past week:
1) The Replacements got back together. Which I think was on this website (an article about that) which means Tommy Stinson may or may not still be in GNR. Although on his website he mentions a surprise for GNR so he probably still is.
2) Matt Sorum who was a member who I consider most vocally anti-Axl bumped into Axl in NYC and the two apparently talked like good friends and Matt did an interview where he's all happy about Axl.
Who knows. I just liked Izzy :p

You cant really call this guns n roses, its really only roses becuase Axl is the only origonal mamber. And I certainly dont like him.

On another note, when Camp Freddy played @ Autorox on Spike, Duff was introduced as "from Guns N' Roses" while Matt and Scott were "from Velvet Revolver". Probably means nothing, though.
