Damn. Saw Limp Bizkit cover Faith last week (I know George hated the cover and hated them for doing it but still) and heard a cover of Last Christmas just yesterday. Dont like pop music in the slightest but my Mother has been a huge George Michael fan since ive been alive. Shes gutted. Dont care for his music but was clearly a superb songwriter who evolved from his boybandish beginnings. I liked the way he didnt seem to give a fuck either and coming out as gay when he did.
