Magnetic Fields new tour/album 2016-09-15 by Divaman | 4 Comments | The Magnetic Fields will perform their very first shows of their 2016-2017 tour at MASS MoCA, in North Adams, Massachusetts, on Nov 18+19, 2016.
They will be performing the entirety of their new album, 50 Song Memoir, performed over two nights, by a new, expanded band.

Really hoping the new album's good. Their last few really haven't been.

I didn't think Realism was bad. I wasn't that crazy about either Love at the Bottom of the Sea or Distortion. I still think Future Bible Heroes is the best of Stephin Merritt's bands.

Realism and Distortion were okay, but yeah Bottom of the Sea wasn't that great. Also, I never gave any Future Bible Heroes a listen, so I should probably get on that.

Bottom of the Sea still had some great tracks on it, and they've always been kind of inconsistent putting a record together from start to finish.
