Duff To Tour With AiC?

2006-04-10 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 8 Comments
As a reformed Alice in Chains prepare to hit the festival circuit in Europe and North America this summer, rumours abound that ex-Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan may join the band as a second guitarist, according to Rolling Stone.

McKagan is no stranger to the role, having played with the band last month at VH1's 'Decades Rock Live!' taping, while he also took up rhythm guitar for his shortlived Neurotic Outsiders side-project in 1996/7 as the foil to Sex Pistol Steve Jones.

Singer William DuVall will stand in for the deceased Layne Staley on the tour, as he did for the VH1 special, however the band also promised 'a few special guests.'

When I read the headline I thought it meant Hillary Duff. Needless to say I died a little inside, but now I am very happy.

As long as he's back in time to tour with SLASH. I'm liking that pic of Chong ^^

I like the fact that they are touring again. Of course you can never replace someone with such a unique voice as Layne's.

BUT, I think Cantrell has an awesome voice and the music is just as if not more amazing as Layne's voice.

Does anyone know who the "Special guests" might be for AIC? I heard Phil Anselmo was one but that seems weird...
