Sort of agree, their first two records' lyrics were fine for the most part, but Clear was the start of a downhill that's just getting worse and worse with each release. Instrumentation on this is fine, but everyone in this band is capable of way better.

did not like the song at all. i found this to be very boring. not really a periphery fan but they are alright when they are melodic. being an almost entirely aggressive song, apart from that spoken word sort of section, which i thought was really lame, i was not enjoying this one bit.

okay, so some relevant stuff from that Q&A:
-there will be 11 tracks and the record should be a little over an hour in length
-there's intentionally "lots of variety" and apparently this single isn't indicative of any overall mood
-Misha programmed some orchestral arrangements but they were performed by actual people for the record
-and "a majority of the tracks are brand new" - not sure if that means there's an old revised version of something already released on it or just more old Bulb stuff that was posted a long time ago being worked into full songs

Yeah there's been a lot of chat about the new Periphery songs being based on old Bulb demos. I do like several of his old demos so I am looking forward to the album regardless of this song.

Pretty boring song. They kinda implied that they were going to towards a more P2 sound which is honestly my least favorite. I prefer the melody of their debut, and my favorite songs on the following albums were the more lead oriented ones. This is some full blown djent chuggery and I'm not a fan.

As always expected, tons of Periphery hate. I like 'em. Whatever.

That being said, this song is really messy, particularly with the lyrics. Lyric vidoes seem to be the worst way to show off new music. I gotta agree, while angsty, the lyrics don't flow well especially at that slow part which totally sounds out of place in the song.

But I don't agree with being able to predict what he's gonna say and that this is generic. What's generic is that fucking comment about anything you don't like about an artist/song.

This band has a lot more potential and I hope it's shown on the rest of the album.

I enjoyed P1 and P2. I skipped over the Jugg albums and now I might pass on this too. This is just as bad as that Clear EP or worse. The lyric video brought even more attention to the lazy and over used profanity

I always liked his harsh vocals but the notes he sings with Periphery are kinda goofy. Listen to his work with From First to Last (yeah the album is kinda lame) to hear what he sounds like if he didn't sing with weird notes. Sadly, he also brings his lame lyrics over to their band too.
