We Are the in Crowd disband

2016-02-10 by ZodiacalWolf | 29 Comments
We Are the in Crowd lead vocalist Tay Jardine have revealed trough her personal twitter that the upcoming third full-length album by the New York five-piece won't be seeing the light of day anytime soon as she and the rest of We Are the In Crowd except for founding members Jordan Eckes (guitar, co-lead vocals) and Rob Chianelli (drums) have started a new project which will feature her as the sole lead vocalist. The band reportedly finished recording their third album in 2015 but decided to part ways due to musical differences and has been inactive on their social media accounts since 2014.

Jardine commented the following regarding moving on from We Are the in Crowd: “I was writing melodies in a way that didn’t involve two people, splitting parts from a male perspective or whatever. Because ever since I was 19, that’s what I’ve been doing. So it’s such a different and fun way of working for me. I was writing melodies based around my voice alone, so I was able to showcase a lot more and a lot better than before.”

Whether or not the finished album will eventually be released as still uncertain as the band is currently on hiatus and have not official broken up as of yet.

What a shame, these guys were fantastic. I guess the new project will be pretty cool though.

Honestly it seemed like they were getting better so its a bit of a shame that their third album might never see the light of day.

This band had some great songs, sad to see them go. Put on a great live show too. Hopefully their next projects come to fruition, they both had pretty good voices.

First Paramore stopped being pop punk, then Tonight Alive turned to shit and now these guys have to break up?

@Mutantsnowstorm Well three of them are going to start a new project together, and Tay said that WATIC is more than likely to return in the future.

Can we talk about Tonight Alive for a sec? I've honestly never seen a band go to shit that quickly, the fuck happened?

"How does it feel" is a pretty good track but yeah, they've turned into a cookie cutter pop band.
