Possible Underoath reunion?

2015-08-12 by Toondude | 45 Comments
The highly acclaimed post-hardcore band has begun posting teasers throughout social media and their website, announcing the phrase "Rebirth is Coming" as well as sharing a reversed audio clip of the intro from the song 'It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door' and a timer counting down to August 24th.

While unclear, rumor is spreading that the band might be getting back together after disbanding in 2013. This also comes recently after Underoath pledged a campaign to finalize a documentary on their Farewell Tour.

As of now, no other information has been posted.

Yeah I'm late on a news post yet again. But in all seriousness I'm kinda surprised that nobody posted this yet (other than threads).

Still though, really interested to see what's going to happen.

If they do a DTGL / They're Only Chasing Safety tour I'll forgive them for not coming anywhere near me on the farewell tour.

Most people are being nostalgic about listening to this when they were 14. Melnadaiid is proving he hasn't even turned 14 yet.

Who cares if it's old? Some people do not know about this (including me) therefore the possible Underoath reunion is new and useful to some people.

This is really old as has been noted. As much as I love this band, they made a huge deal about breaking up and went on a huge farewell tour and made a documentary and shit and now they're just coming back like two years later? For the love of God, what's the deal with bands claiming to be gone forever just to come back 2-4 years later?

Yea, I was at their last show and it was great for closure, but now it feels kind of shallow.

A reunion after 2 years? Money tight guys? Look, I'm all for a "reunion" but these dudes just crowd funded a "farewell" documentary and the people that helped fund it? Guess they aren't really getting a "farewell" documentary after-all. THIS will be the new "farewell" tour, for which there will be ANOTHER farewell doc.

The farewell doc makes it extremely clear that almost everyone in the band pretty much immediately regretted breaking up, they just also really wanted to be able to be with their families and not leave their lives behind on the road. 2 years seems like enough time to go "huh maybe we could do both".

I'm pretty sure this is all just being blown way out of proportion ...but godammit, I would love to get the chance to finally see them live.

Oh, and if the Fall of Troy finally puts theirs out that'd be like three OGs kickin' it like 10 years ago. Can't believe how much time has passed.
