The Dear Hunter have released a live album featuring songs spanning the career of the band. Frontman Casey Crescenzo addressed the fans in a letter stating that he wanted to "surprise our fans with this release".

In addition, the band has announced a series of tour dates where they will play songs exclusively from Act II and III.

The album can be streamed here:

To further this surprise, the band's next LP will officially be the continuation of the bands 6 part Acts series. The album, entitled Act IV: Rebirth in Reprise, will be released later this year.

It's about time he's getting back to the Acts Series. And a tour where he's only playing songs from Act II and III sounds amazing.

Meh, dont really care for live albums in general.
But the tour kicks off with a solo accoustic show that I will definitely be attending!

Not normally a live recording type of guy, but damn the dear hunter bring it live. Saw them at soundwave in '13 and my love has only gotten greater with time. Keen as for Act IV.
