"The campaign, which launched in December, closed on February 8 with a lowly 33 donators"
all of which were family members
| |
hilariously tragic
| |
holy fuck
| |
Well $30,000 was a ridiculous amount to ask for. Especially when in 2015 you can do so much from a home studio
| |
Best news all year
| |
their indiegogo video is the best thing i've ever seen. what would these guys do without their hands
| |
I don't understand bands asking fans to pay for them to make their albums.
| |
Because it's often the only way they can break even on a record, instead of relying on record label advances and ending up in debt to the label.
| |
This is really painful
| |
omfg hahaha that's awful
| |
Facebook page with close to 700,000 fans and only 33 give a shit, too funny
| |
"Rock your new BC13 album!....but...wait....is that.....no way....mind blown...a Vinyl record? Oh this? Ya its the super limited edition Vinyl LP!... oh ya... its also autographed by the band with custom artwork....Just sayin!!"
| |
These guys just got hit with a big dose of reality.
| |
lol epic fail
| |
there is a god
| |
some good news for once
| |
this band is still around??!
| |
ohhh god that is fantastic
| |
I don't understand bands asking fans to pay for them to make their albums.
Generally when bands do this one of the reasonably priced "rewards" is just a copy of the CD, so crowdsourcing usually allows bands to cut out the middleman between themselves and their fans by not forcing them to rely on a label to help them get their music made (and put them in debt from using the label's studio time). And then they throw in fancy crap that the uber fans want and are willing to shell out for. Everybody wins.
| |
Good news.
Scary how they've got millions of views on Youtube so far, though...
| |
Also I totally thought this article was about Blood on the Dance Floor. Easy mistake to make, I guess. Rofl.
| |
14 year-olds don't have credit cards. 33 stole their parents'.
| |
Haste the Days Indiegogo almost reached $150,000
| |
Words can't even begin to explain how I feel
| |
Happy? Exhilarated? You have regained faith in humanity?
| |
i do feel a little bit bad for the guys, but i guess its what they deserve for making such effortless, stupid and awful music
| |
Reality is harsh sometimes
| |
Haha now deez niggas is broke on the outside too lmao
| |
wonder if they really need the money to release that hehh.. "album"
| |
"Nobody Loves BrokenCYDE"

Never heard of the band. Just played "Freaxxx". This makes sense to me now. A bit sad, but I mean cmon...
| |
just listened to a few interviews lol god damn Buddy hated this band I can't believe he put them on blast at every stop of the tour. Pretty funny
| |
There is a god.
| |
Hahaha
| |
"Nobody loves BrokenCYDE"
I'm certainly not a fan, but I think the kids like them
| |
I honestly feel bad for them. Who would've guessed Brokencyde would've lost their fanbase when the scene died out?
| |
The best hint they could get, since "QUIT MAKING FUCKING MUSIC" didn't seem to reach them.
| |
The novelty and shelf life on bands like this isn't long. BOTDF had to cancel an australian tour because only 3 people bought tickets. Hell, Dot Dot Curve just released a fucking 99 Song Album and nobody seemed to give a shit. I'm certain Attila will find themselves in this position in 6-7 years.
| |
I honestly didn't even know brokencyde was still a thing in the year 20 of 15
| |
I don't even think they did either tbh
| |
this sucks lol
| |
"Who would've guessed Brokencyde would've lost their fanbase when the scene died out?"
literally everyone
33 donors with an average donation of 43.66 dollars dam brokencyde superfans m/
| |
I guess brokencyde will die.
| |
do I get my money back then?
| |
Satan was finally overthrown my fellow believers. Rejoice and bow your heads in prayer
| |
I wish there was a like button for this news.
| |
There is
| |
made my day
| |
good fuck them
maybe this'll slowly make these shitty bands realize your music actually needs substance
| |
They both look so punchable
| |
"I will personally write out the lyrics to your favourite song"
I got these bitches all tipsy trying to sex me.
I know they want it, alcoholics are some sex freaks.
| |
I'm laughing so hard at the frequency of hand motions
