It's decent. I guess it was unreasonable--knowing the nature of this band--to expect them to fully retain the style they
had on OBPL. It's nice to see them attempting a different sound, one that is more divorced from the Radioheadesque one
they nailed down on their last LP, but I'm not a huge fan of the more poppy route they've chosen. IMO, it just doesn't
really fit the diverse, experimental side of Polyenso's musical competency. Hopefully this song will fight nicely into their
new LP but atm I'm a bit skeptical even though I don't think this release is horrible by ANY stretch of the imagination.

I like this much more than the first song they released from the new album. Hope there's more of this to come when the album is released.

beginning reminds me of bon iver before the singing, still a nice listen though.
|
| |
Vocals got a bit repetitive by the end, otherwise I loved it
|
| |
This is really good.
|
| |
Fuck yes this band is so good
|
| |
ehh. I was hoping for a little more from this song. It never truly felt like a song, just lots of breaks with samples and stuff with the same vocals over and over.

Bring back The Tide [100]
|
| |
Fucking nobody wants that
|
| |
Just as The Tide recides, it also returns...
|
| |
both of the new tracks are pretty damn great
|
| |
"Bring back The Tide [100]"
lol for real though, its amazing to see the progression these guys have made.
|
| |
love it. the Copeland-vibe is unbelievable. definitely better than most tracks on OBPL.
tl;dr: finally a great, consistently innovative band that constantly progresses.
|
| |
yah it's been a lot of fun tracking their progression throughout the years. a lot of purists might argue their last album was better because it was more radiohead-esque, but this seems like the logical progression of their sound imo
|
| |
Birth.Eater was so much better than The Tide.
Polyenso is cool too tho
|
| |
Haven't listened to these guys since Birth.Eater, so quite a fucking change in sound but I loved this
|

Loop>Birth.Eater>The Tide

incredible
|
| |
This is beyond good. So excited for this album, OBPL is one of my favorite releases of recent memory. They're so much better nowadays than they were back when they were post-hardcore (even though they were still awesome when they fit that genre).

Beautiful song. Enjoyed this much more than the first
