Deadlock with new/old song

2014-08-05 by Shiranui | 9 Comments
German metal band 'Deadlock' have just released a new video for their song "Awakened by Sirens'.
This song, which has already been published through one of their prior works, entitled "Earth.Revolt", has been set up for release with a new livery.
Along with a bunch of other old and rearranged songs, the album contains rare footage of old demos, acoustic versions, a cover version of 'When Time Runs Out' by "Running Wild", guest vocals of 'Heaven Shall Burn' frontman and some new songs ( 'An Ocean´s Monument', 'A New Era', 'The Arsenic River').
The new album "The Re-Arrival" will hit the stores on August 15th.
It is expected to be published as a double album with a total number of 30 tracks.

I really don't want to touch anything this band puts out after their last release. Pure shit. And
their current harsh vocalist is just awful. I could MAYBE be convinced to try a couple of songs if
they had their old vocalist, or a new new harsh vocalist. This guy though? Nope.

Well, then maybe the old demos or acoustic songs will do it for you.

Is Awakened by Sirens the only re-recording on this "new" album?

New harsh vocalist does indeed suck, but I would be willing to bet Johannes Prem played a pretty big role in the song-writing as well, because he seemed to have taken any semblance of ability to craft a decent song with him when he left. Love this band but that last album was unlistenable.

If they have a base of BETTER songs to work with, it might actually be decent at times... (though at that point, you might as well just listen to the originals).

Wolves is an awesome record. Their new music seems like it will never reach that level of death metal aptitude again. Especially now that they are re-making all of their old stuff so that even their career peak is degraded.

I think the band giving too much light to the female 's vocalist . She is good but not that good and I think the role she filled on records as "Wolves" was perfect for her .

Bizarro World was so weak that I even didn't check the last effort came out last year .

Oh well ...

When did they replaced the main vocalist ?

I'm pretty sure they rearranged most of their older work and i think they changed their vocalist around 2011.

I still listen to around 5 songs from these guys pretty regularly, they can write some insanely catchy songs.
