New Yob album in progress

2014-05-20 by TaintSmasher | 12 Comments
Eugene, Oregon based doom metal veterans YOB have announced their new album titled Clearing the Path to Ascend. The follow up to 2011's Atma, and their first album for the prestigious Neurot Recordings, is being recorded at Gung Ho Studio in Eugene with long-time sound collaborator Billy Barnett. The album is slated for a September 2014 release.
Yob frontman Mike Scheidt commented, "Writing this album felt like being plugged into a main. Emotionally, its our heaviest. But it also has some real beauty and light. We dug the deepest we ever have to get to the heart of these tunes."
Below is a teaser for the new album:

Stoked beyond comprehension. I just hope the production doesn't suck as bad as Atma.
