They sound over far too presumptuous and assured of themselves.
You never know, but I really don't expect much from this.

They could just be referring to their die hard fans. If Halford sings, they will eat it up.

I was one, but then I heard Redeemer of Souls. And I saw the artwork of this upcoming album.

Sometimes I wonder if the guys in Mastodon will end up like this when they're 60+. I'll go cry now.

Are you implying mastodon are priest level

Priest at least made catchy, rocking tunes after passing their prime. Mastodon kinda got dull fast after peaking imo.

I'm just saying since Mastodon are arguably the biggest metal band in the world these days (just like Priest used to be), will they end up where JP are right now in 20 years time.

Food for thought...

Most seem to think that Mastodon kinda suck live, so that doesn't help. Live shows do help when you suck in the studio.

True, interesting how often it's stricly either one or the other. Few bands are capable of matching the quality their studio stuff onstage (and vice versa), and even though I love Mastodon I have to admit their live performances rarely live up to their recorded material.

They havent made a good album since Painkiller even up to that point they have had an iffy career with some crappy 80's albums between their good ones. im sure like all the newer ones it will have a few stand out tracks but thats it
