I dig it actually
|
| |
Well that sounds pretty great.
|
| |
Is it possible that Metallica somehow figures it out after all this time and just blows all of their post And Justice material away with the new album? It seems inconceivable but I guess crazier things
have happened.
|
| |
good news
|
| |
"Is it possible that Metallica somehow figures it out after all this time and just blows all of their post And Justice material away with the new album?"
That's a pretty big claim considering we've heard a grand total of FOURTEEN SECONDS of this new album
|
| |
sounds pretty tasty, but it's basically nothing to go on
Still, I enjoyed Death Magnetic, so I'm excited.
|
| |
Regardless of whether or not that clip sounds good, it will be ruined once we hear James' vocals
|
| |
True Xing true
|
| |
15 seconds and its already being hyped, good work everyone
|
| |
is it bad that I don't give a fuck anymore? cause I think that they kinda did the same a long time ago
|
| |
Jaymz sounds fine, goodness.
|
| |
must be fate that I used up all my internet last night so I won't be able to hear this for like another week lol
also the full track has been leaked here
http://youtu.be/T3mWcvhkA8g
|
| |
Of course it would be 9 minutes long wouldn't it
|
| |
people listen to metallica in 2014??
|
| |
lars has to have the worst sounding kit in existance, btw, yep its not that good at all.
|
| |
Not bad, never gonna be pre black album but for what they're worth it's pretty good. I'll listen to the album
|
| |
It sounds like a 15 second clip
|
| |
It sounds like a 14 second clip
|
| |
From what I could hear I'm liking it. Chorus is lame but the solo is badass. Props to Lars for doing something interesting.
|
| |
doesn't sound too bad, listening to lloyd's link
chorus is lame tho yeah
|
| |
sweet
|
| |
album will probably be another death magnetic
|
| |
pretty boring tbh
|
| |
I actually saw Death Magnetic as an improvement, a sign that Metallica still have some good songs left up there sleeves.
But then again it ain't hard to improve from St. Anger so
|
| |
lame ass song title lol. Song sound.. ok
|
| |
shock horror it sucks
|
| |
Sounds promising.
|
| |
Boooring
|
| |
lars is hardly the main issue
|
| |
I won't be bothered with tallica until I get on my hands their new album.
|
| |
ho kirk... same lame ass solos
|
| |
Sounds like the shit they've been churning out for the last 15 years.
Break up please.
|
| |
It's a shame the entire band died in a Segway accident back in 1989. Metallica has never been the same since :
|
| |
"Lords of Summer" omg so metal
|
| |
Here's the full song:

|
| |
Should've just called it Boys of Summer and just come out as the Don Henley lovers they really are
|
| |
is meh at best. not a big surprise...
|
| |
how the fuck can you play drums for 38 years and still suck ballsack
|
| |
pretty good, will probably be as good as Death Magnetic without the dogshit production job
|
| |
people listen to metallica in 2014?? [2]
|
| |
Metallica fans have waited for more than 5 years for new material with various band members confirming that work had begun on their 10th studio LP.
Pretty hasty generalization there. I'd consider myself a Metallica fan and I have no desire for them to release anything new.
|
| |
I'll bet Trujillo wrote most of the structure s
|
| |
Sounds like it'll be pretty good, as long as they don't blow it in the studio again and James puts some effort into the lyrics.
|
| |
My lifestyle determines my paycheck
|
| |
"That's a pretty big claim considering we've heard a grand total of FOURTEEN SECONDS of this new album."
I don't recall directly commenting on the quality of the material here. I'm just proposing the idea, can Metallica make a really
awesome album again? My guess is probably not but I suppose we'll find out in time.
I certainly don't mean to discern the potential quality of the new album based on that clip.
|
| |
Wow, first thing I've ever really enjoyed from Metallica.
you need ride the lightning snide
|
| |
My lifestyle determines my paycheck
I like to think more along the lines of "my paycheck determines my deathstyle."
|
| |
I should had been in bogota yesterday, sadly, i´m stuck in newcastle fuck. Song is decent.
|
| |

The full song
|
| |
how the fuck can you play drums for 38 years and still suck ballsack
I'm better at drums than him and the most I play is for a minute here and there every now and then when I have access to somebody else's kit haha
|
| |
not bad, kinda intrested
|
| |
This fucking blows wake up
|
| |
"Wow, first thing I've ever really enjoyed from Metallica."
lol wtf
song blows
|
| |
hmm album is prob 3/5 its basically out now
|
| |
It's not bad i guess
|
| |
nah fuck you guys, this pretty great even tho the song title is lol
|
| |
Presenting the brand new
METALLICA
song, The
LORDS of
SUMMER!!!
|
| |
I actually thought it was pretty cool.
|
| |
Well there was wah in the solo, so there's that....
|
| |
lame name for a 'tallica song imo
|
| |
Song title sounds like some shit Kid Rock or Jason Aldean would put out.
|
| |
Well there was wah in the solo, so there's that....
Wow, that's uncharted territory for them.
|
| |
It's decent, Lars' drumming is pretty repetitive though, lacks progression for an 8+ minute song.
|
| |
Metallica song titles over the years, oh man.
How do you go from stuff like "Disposeable Heroes" to shit like "Carpe Diem Baby" and "Ain't My Bitch?"
|
| |
14 seconds of shit?
|
| |
It needs about 1-2 minutes cut from it as it drags a bit but I'm digging it. It has some nice hooks and the maidenish bridge is really cool. It's got a real ride the lightning vibe to it. I'm guessing the song will change a fair bit or even be cut up and have parts used in other songs like with the new song the debuted before death magnetic. The song has made me psyched for a new metallica album anyway.
Also, the fan chosen setlist for that concert is boring as fuck. I'd like them to play some more obscure songs - metal militia, escape, the house that jack built, fixxxer (their most underrated song by far) etc.
|
| |
Hard to tell from only 14 seconds but it sounded rockin
|
| |
Actually listened to it. Aside from James vocals (which have been suspect for years) it wasn't that bad. I heard some triplet picking, double bass and evern a "FI-YA" in there.
Someone needs to tell Lars that his skullet needs to go however. Only Devin Townsend and the bassist from Battlecross pull that look off well.
|
| |
Album will be a 3 at absolute most.
|
| |
song is pretty lame
|
| |
This fucking blows wake up
|
| |
quite like the fast riff but everything else was lame
|
| |
Never liked metallica and this does nothing to change my opinion of them
|
| |
For those unaware, they've released the "garage demo" of the track
|
| |
http://youtu.be/AiOtev3rEKI
shit imo
|
| |
^Never before has Lars' drumming sounded so fucking lazy
|
| |
If DM can earn a 3.2 then I wouldn't put it past them to make a 3.5 (rounded probably).
|
| |
this sounds worse than anything off death magnetic
plus theyre continuing with the 7+ min songs which is a horrible sign
|
| |
It's quite average.
Also, let's hope production on the actual album has a better dynamic range than the last one...
|
| |
Yuck. Worse than I hoped.
|
| |
wow
|
| |
8 minutes isn't long enough
|
| |
Honestly haven't gotten anything past black album. Although, I have dug a few songs since. This one sounds like a good one but yeah...15 seconds.
|
| |
Honestly haven't gotten anything past black album.
You and 99.99% of the fanbase
|
| |
that's a shame, plenty of good tracks after Black album. just because they changed styles/genres after that doesn't instantly mean they stopped writing good music.
i like both pre and post Black album.
this sounds underwhelming, but it's only one song.
