One For Sorrow removed almost everything that was really great about the band. It was still good, but there was no soul to it.

well they described the new record as being more atmospheric than before, so Im hopeful of it being a very good Insomnium album.

Bands always say that (stuff like "more atmospheric than ever", "our strongest yet", "heaviest album to date" etc. etc.), unfortunately, but I'm really, really hoping that this here is the exception and they're really offering something totally different when compared to One For Sorrow. Not that that album was bad, but it didn't have enough epic build-ups. I'd be down with more ambiance in an Insomnium record.

Well after the disappointing 'Ephemeral' Im ready to clutch onto any hope I can, at least they never said "faster" or "heavier" than before.
Hmmm, new single must be very close now too, pretty sure they were recording the video for it a couple of weeks back.
