Although I will say that its a pretty weak drum performance for a song coming from an amazing drummer!

Heavier parts are Slipknot / Dagoba mixed with the lighter Townsend influences.

Spencer sounds awful on this especially when he first starts singing. The instrumentation is okay but Spencer completely ruins anything I like as soon as he starts up.

I agree that Spencer's first few lines sounded pretty shitty, but only because of that modification. I'm not sure why he wanted to use so many vocal effects on this release, heard one in pretty much every track teaser. As one of the people that actually thinks he's a fucking awesome singer I find the effects very obnoxious.

The vocalist has always ruined this band. Wish I had bought the instrumental version of their first album. I never listen to the thing because he's so annoying.

Band is just too much. Every member is so skilled at their instrument I think it makes them write shitty music. Like so many skilled musicians in one room is just too much. Mark's old project "haunted shores" was amazing though

I really like this song. Riffing is not as techy and random as most of their songs, and Spencer is as Spencer does, but the transitions actually make sense, for once.

I can't say I loved P1 (3.5 for me) but stuff was def more experimental. This one is a mashup of what the average joe loves in modern "metal"

^I wouldn't get the torch and pitchfork out just yet. This is a song written by the drummer, so maybe, just maybe, teh riffz aren't the focus.

P2 for me was a mess, lets hope the songwriting in this is far better.

^ I can't hear the whole P2 and not rage about halfway. There are some songs that just get to my nerves. I'll keep the torch away for a while though :D

Indeed. It had a lot a cool moments but they never feel cohesive due to sloppy songwriting and the album as a whole is too long and inconsistant.

yea im not really down to listen to p2 ever.... but i still rock p1 in the car. it has vocals so i really only like letter experiment, all new materials, totla mad, and racecar.
