New Alesana Song

2013-12-13 by jslavos | 20 Comments
Metalcore group Alesana have premiered their brand new single, “Fatima Rusalka.” The song will be available on December 24 via Revival Recordings.

Guitarist and vocalist Shawn Milke says, “For those of you who follow our trilogy storyline you will be happy to know that this song bridges the gap between A Place Where The Sun Is Silent and our forthcoming full-length, setting the stage for an explosive and twisted conclusion. We are beyond excited to be releasing this song on our new label Revival Recordings. We can’t wait to see your smiling faces in 2014 and, as always, we thank you for years and years of love and support. There was only one. There was only her. Fatima Rusalka.”

I thought it was decent but nothing great. Seems like they're trying to appeal to the modern metalcore crowd, but honestly I think they do it a little better.

At some point even the most average bands release great albums but I doubt this is gonna be it.

I liked the second half of the song better than the first. Dennis' vocals sound better than they did on the last album, though. Also, I didn't know that APWTSIS was supposed to be conceptually linked to The Emptiness, I thought it was just based on Dante's Inferno

Pretty decent, glad to hear Dennis has more of an impact here than on APWTSIS

I used to generally enjoy this band as a guilty pleasure until I had the oppurtunity to see them earlier this year live

I don't know what I was expecting, but I realized how ear wrenching this band really is
